For those wondering what is happening in Venezuela with respect to who's in charge:
Nicolas Maduro, following the tradition of his predecesor Hugo Chavez (deceased in 2013), has concentrated his power through the expansion of a militaristic regime at the expense of destroying the Constitutional Rule of Law and the democratic institutions of the country.
Juan Guaidó, president of the legitimate National Assembly is the repository of the last legitimacy of democracy left in the country.
Yesterday, Mr. Juan Guaidó swore in as president responsible of the republic, as mandated by the Constitution when there is an irregular or unconstitutional transfer of power.
The military is ultimately calling the shots, its leadership controlled and subjugated to Cuban, Russian and Chinese political interests as well as aligned to the agenda of radical islamist terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal mining (gold and rare earth elements) and the Colombian guerrilla.
Masses of citizens of Venezuela have displayed their support for Juan Guaidó yesterday by rallying in the streets of Venezuelan cities and cities worldwide.
Military garrisons are beginning to revolt in support of the Constitutional Rule of Law led by Guaidó.
As of this morning Thursday 24th January 2019, Juan Guaidó's interim presidency has received the political recognition and support from the following governments in the America's:
Canada
USA
Honduras
Guatemala
Costa Rica
Panama
Colombia
Brazil
Ecuador
Peru
Paraguay
Chile
Argentina
Events are still unfolding and I ask you to support Juan Guaidó in this crucial moment in order to restore the Rule of Law and liberty in Venezuela.
